Sclerotherapy

We use Sclerotherapy at the clinics in Swansea and Bristol as by far the most effective treatment for Thread Veins of the Leg. It involves the injection, using the tiniest of needles of Sclerovein, which results in the closure of the vessels injected.

The overall result can take up to a month to achieve, and there can be some bruising, which usually clears after a few days.

Although we are unable to treat large Varicose Veins in our clinic at present, the smaller blue veins can be treated using a higher concentration of Sclerovein together with a compression bandage worn for 24 hours.

We have stopped using Lasers in this condition due to the procedure being painful, ineffective and expensive.
