Thread Veins of the leg are, in our long experience, best treated with Sclerotherapy. In spite of owning what is considered to be one of the best lasers available for such treatments, it stands idle in the corner of our laser room. We consider Laser therapy in this instance too painful, too expensive and too ineffective. Sclerotherapy on the other hand is none of these. It can cause some bruising, taking a few weeks for full recovery, which is why we often chose to carry out treatments in the autumn or winter months. Sometimes a bandage is required to be worn for 24 hours.
